We are looking for experienced Mechanical Fitters for a 3-month contract in Lincoln, UK, starting on 23/06/25.
The role involves installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mechanical systems at high-voltage electrical substations.
Candidates must have proven experience in an industrial or energy-sector environment and possess a valid CSCS or ECS card.
The pay rate is £19 per hour on PAYE or £25 per hour on Umbrella payment, with potential overtime at higher rates.
Additional training will be provided, and there is potential for the contract to be extended.

Location: Lincoln, UK

Start Date: 23/06/25
Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 07:00 - 17:00 shifts

Overtime could be offered at 1.25 monday to thursday and 1.5 friday to saturday

Rate: £19 an hour if on PAYE or £25 if on Umbrella payment

Project Overview:

We are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for a major substation project located in Lincoln. This 12-month contract involves the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mechanical systems and components integral to high-voltage electrical substations.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation of mechanical components within substation environments (e.g., switchgear, transformers, steel support structures).
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and method statements.
Supporting the installation of HV equipment in collaboration with electrical teams.
Reporting progress and issues to the site supervisor or project manager.
Conducting routine maintenance and minor repairs as required.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a mechanical fitter in an industrial or energy-sector environment (preferably substations or power projects).
Competency working with tools, lifting equipment, and machinery safely.
Valid CSCS or ECS card.
Additional certifications (e.g., Confined Space, MEWP, SSSTS) are advantageous.
