Maintenance Manager (Manufacturing)

Join a specialised manufacturing business in Lincoln as a Maintenance Manager. This hands-on position is pivotal to ensuring operational excellence through the mechanical and electrical maintenance of the plant's equipment, implementing robust Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules, and ensuring compliance with key safety regulations.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee the maintenance of critical site infrastructure, including buildings, utilities, safety systems, and manufacturing equipment. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will develop and execute PPM schedules to enhance equipment reliability, manage the Permit to Work system for high-risk tasks, and supervise contractors to uphold stringent safety and compliance standards under PUWER, LOLER and COSHH.

Leading a small team of maintenance and workshop professionals, you will foster a safety-first culture while managing an engineering workshop to produce jigs, tools, and fixtures for production. You will respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and act as a trusted keyholder with occasional out-of-hours responsibilities for emergency site access.

We are looking for:

  • A proven maintenance manager with experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Hands-on expertise in maintaining plant equipment.
  • Proficiency in developing and managing PPM schedules and conducting risk assessments.
  • Experience managing contractors and service providers to ensure safety and operational standards.
  • Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) methodologies.
  • A relevant engineering qualification (HNC/HND) and a health and safety qualification (NEBOSH/IOSH).
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills to inspire your team and engage stakeholders.
