BAE Systems is seeking a Mechanical Technician for a 12-month contract based at RAF Coningsby, offering an hourly rate of £22.57 PAYE or £30.24 Umbrella inside IR35.
Candidates must possess a minimum of City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent qualifications, along with in-depth product knowledge of the Typhoon aircraft.
The role involves undertaking maintenance and diagnostic activities on Typhoon aircraft, including ground handling, flight servicing, and component removals.
Successful applicants will need to analyze and diagnose faults in aircraft components and ensure maintenance is completed on schedule while supporting audit responses as necessary.

The Job

Undertake and complete tasked maintenance and diagnostic activities on Typhoon or components which include, Aircraft Ground Handing, Flight Servicing and component removals
Review operation performance of aircraft components and systems
Analyse and diagnose fault to components and assemblies
Ensure that maintenance is undertaken to schedule and resolve and issues, escalating as required
Support the response to audit and findings in a timely and appropriate manner manner and provide information to support the relevant review
