Your Role as Nurse Manager:
As the Nurse Manager, you will be the clinical and operational lead for the home, guiding the team with a hands-on approach, ensuring residents receive the highest level of person-centred care, and maintaining the positive culture that the home is so well known for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary team to deliver compassionate, high-quality care.
- Ensure clinical excellence and compliance with all regulatory and legislative frameworks, including CQC standards.
- Manage staffing, training, and development to build a motivated and skilled workforce.
- Work collaboratively with residents, families, GPs, and external professionals to develop individualised care plans.
- Oversee audits, care documentation, and medication systems to ensure continuous improvement.
- Support the Registered Manager and contribute to the strategic direction of the home.
- Monitor and manage budgets responsibly, ensuring both quality care and cost efficiency.
We’re looking for a confident, committed professional with proven leadership capabilities and a strong clinical background.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) with a valid NMC PIN.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership role within an elderly care setting.
- Strong knowledge of dementia care, nursing best practices, and regulatory compliance.
- A caring, empathetic approach and a genuine desire to make a difference.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, resilient, and able to thrive in a dynamic, people-focused environment.
