We are currently recruiting for Investigative Consultants based in Lincolnshire.

Rate of pay: £21-£23 per hour (outside IR35)

Pay options: Sole Trader, Ltd company or via Umbrella company (further information attached)

Hours: Full-time, part-time & compressed hours available

Contract: Temporary ongoing

Purpose: We are currently seeking Investigative Consultants to join our Peel Consultancy Team within Major Incidents Team at Lincolnshire Police.

Role: Investigating cases of vulnerable adults who may have received abuse in care.

Duties:

  • Secure, preserve and gather evidence
  • Obtaining and reviewing CCTV
  • Achieving Best Evidence – Interview witnesses including vulnerable adults
  • Analysing phone and device download reviews
  • Follow up outside enquiries
  • Use internal IT systems to research and maintain records regarding individuals and investigation
  • Maintain case progression timelines
  • Secure time critical evidence
  • Reduce missed opportunities, evidential errors or investigative delays
  • Safeguarding practice

Essential Experience:

  • Police experience

Desirable Experience:

  • Experience within a Major Incidents Team and/or Public Protection Unit
  • Experience interviewing and obtaining statements from vulnerable adults (ABE)
