Job Purpose
To diagnose, repair and service a wide range of motorbikes to a high technical standard, ensuring safety, reliability and excellent customer satisfaction. The Motorbike Mechanic will be responsible for carrying out scheduled maintenance, fault-finding, engine work, electrical diagnostics, and performance adjustments in line with manufacturer guidelines.
Key Responsibilities

Perform routine servicing, inspections and maintenance on motorbikes.

Accurately diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate tools and equipment.

Carry out engine repairs, rebuilds, clutch work, brakes, suspension and tuning tasks.

Fit and balance tyres, chains, sprockets, brake pads, batteries and other components.

Complete pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) for new or used bikes.

Maintain accurate records of all work completed, parts used and labour times.

Adhere to health and safety standards, ensuring a clean and well-organised workspace.

Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, issues and recommended work.

Assist in ordering parts and ensuring stock levels are maintained.

Follow manufacturer procedures, warranty requirements and workshop quality standards.

Test-ride motorbikes (where authorised) to verify repairs and performance.
Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience as a motorbike mechanic or motorcycle technician.

Strong understanding of motorcycle engines, electrics, fuel systems and diagnostics.

Ability to fault-find quickly and accurately.

Competent with workshop tools, diagnostic equipment and technical manuals.

Good attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Full motorcycle licence.
