Our client, a market-leading Manufacturing company, is currently recruiting a Workshop Operative to join their production and assembly team. The Workshop Operative will be responsible for assisting in the production and assembly of mechanical products.

Key Responsibilities for the Workshop Engineer:

  • Maintaining hire plant equipment, managing stock levels, and using a variety of mechanical handling equipment
  • Handle the current production of purchase orders handed to the workshop
  • Maintain and record all dispatched and received hire equipment
  • Assist with onsite testing, demonstrations, and deliveries when required (this may involve occasional overnight stays)

Skills Required for the Workshop Engineer:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Experience working within a workshop environment
  • Physically able to perform workshop and on-site duties (e.g. bending, moving or lifting)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Driving License
