Polytec are looking for a skilled Assembly Technician to join our south Cambridgeshire based production team. The successful candidate will be involved in both mechanical and electrical sub-assembly as well as main cell assembly within a modern manufacturing environment. Successful candidates will need to have a full clean driving licence as well as a pair of safety shoes.
Responsibilities
* Perform mechanical assembly for sub-assemblies accurately and efficiently
* Carry out electrical assembly for sub-assemblies and cell builds, including panel building
* Maintain high assembly standards to ensure quality and consistency
* Report progress and any production issues to the Production Manager to support workflow
* Collaborate effectively with team members and assist other departments as required
* Adhere to all health and safety procedures and company standards
Requirements
Essential
* Team player with good communication skills
* Physically fit and comfortable working on your feet throughout the shift
* Competent with hand and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembly work
* Good written and spoken English
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Desirable
* Qualified electrician with relevant hands-on experience
* Experience with panel building and electrical schematics
* Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (training provided if required)
