An innovative and forward-thinking business based in Liphook is looking for a Transactional Team Leader. This is a key supervisory position working within the central finance team to support the delivery of a successful finance function.

Transactional Team Leader - About The Role

This role is responsible for recording and processing the organisation's financial transactions, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable and banking. The Transactional Finance Team Leader will ensure the Finance team provide an excellent service to the organisation and will provide support and guidance to more junior members of the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the transactional central finance team, ensuring efficient allocation of resource and management of workload across the team
  • Set and manage team KPIs
  • Oversee purchase ledger team to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and supplier account reconciliations are kept up to date
  • Oversee sales ledger to ensure accurate and timely invoicing with a process in place to manage bad debts
  • Ensure compliance with all VAT legislation
  • Manage and oversee month-end and year-end close processes including bank reconciliations
  • Ownership for the delivery of a range of finance projects
  • Ensure that finance processes are GDPR compliant

The successful Transactional Team Leader will have/be:

  • Experience of working in a finance team in a similar role
  • Experience of supervising colleagues
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Good Excel skills and experience of accounting software
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Flexible, hand-on approach and a good team player
