Cook - Permanent Position
Location: Lisburn
Salary: £13.50 per hour (approx. £26,000 per year)
Hours: 37 hours per week (Mon-Wed 8am-3.30pm, Thu 8am-3pm, Fri 8am-3.30pm)

About the Role
As Cook, you will:
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals and baked goods, maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist with menu planning and contribute creative ideas for specials and events.
- Support and mentor team members with learning disabilities, helping them build confidence, skills, and independence in a catering environment.
- Work collaboratively with the café team to ensure an outstanding customer experience.

Person Specification
Essential:
- NVQ Level 2 in Catering & Hospitality (or equivalent)
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
- Knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH, HACCP
- Strong IT skills
- Understanding of barriers faced by people with learning disabilities
- Positive, team-focused attitude and ability to work independently
Desirable:
- Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (or willingness to achieve)
- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities
