Health, Safety and Environmental Officer

Location: Blaris Industrial Estate Lisburn, BT27 5QB
Salary: £35k - £45k, DOE + Benefits
Contract: Permanent, Full time
Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 08.00 to 17.00 Friday 08.00 to 13.00

Unitrunk Ltd is one of the UK's leading manufacturers of steel cable management systems with distribution centres throughout the UK.

We are currently looking to recruit a HSE Officer to join the team at our Head Office in Lisburn.

The Role:

The HSE Officer will be responsible for ensuring that the organisation complies with all current health, safety, and environmental legislation, and acts as the champion for a culture of health and safety in the workplace at the Lisburn site.

As our HSE Officer, you will develop, implement, and monitor company policies and procedures, train and induct new staff and conduct risk assessments, to ensure that all staff are aware of, and follow, HSE regulations.

The Candidate:

Professional Health and Safety certification (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate/Diploma) is essential.
Environmental qualification (Desirable).
Working knowledge of ISO Systems (Desirable).
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within an industrial / FMCG / Manufacturing environment.
Proven track record of developing and implementing HSE policies, Risk Assessment and procedures.
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to conduct training sessions and presentations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
