Administrative Officer (Temporary)

Pay: £14.84 per hour
Duration: Minimum 2 weeks, potential up to 6 weeks
Location: Environmental Health Service Unit
Team: Landlord Registration Scheme
Reports to: Landlord Registrar

Main Duties
  • Clear backlog of emails and issue new correspondence

  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to the team

  • Assist with customer queries (by letter, email, and phone)

  • Help resolve data migration issues related to the landlord registration system

Person Were Looking For

Essential:

  • 5 GCSEs (Grades AC) including English and Maths, or NVQ Level 2

  • 3+ years experience in clerical and administrative work

  • Confident using Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage time independently

(If qualifications are not held, 5 years relevant experience is required.)

Desirable:

  • Customer service experience

  • Experience extracting reports from databases and checking data accuracy

  • Experience servicing meetings (producing agendas and minutes)

  • Experience working with external stakeholders

Ideal Traits
  • Methodical approach to working with large volumes of data

  • Friendly, professional manner when dealing with customers

  • Ability to work independently and identify issues early
