Key Responsibilities

Grants Management and Administration

  • Provide administrative support associatedwith the funding and running of research projects, such as processing applications for funding or supporting the review process.
  • Respond to enquiries from grant-holders, applicants and prospective applicants in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Be a key point of contact for grant-holders, and process requests for changes to grants.
  • Assist with the execution of contractual agreements with research organisations.
  • Process invoices, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with the financial monitoring of research expenditure.
  • Maintain digital records of grants and support the ongoing maintenance of the clients grant management system.
Research Meetings and Events
  • Organiseresearch meetings and events by coordinating schedules, travel and accommodationarrangements, venuehiring, catering, courier collections and deliveries, and liaisingwith meeting attendees
  • Assist with the running of meetings and events.
Other duties
  • Support the team in maintaining external web pages.
  • Provide ad hoc, additional support or resourcing for other research team activities.
  • Work collaboratively with other research team membersin the deliveryof the companies grant schemes and strategic initiatives, as required.

  • Champion the principles equity, diversity and inclusion in all aspects of the role.
  • Continuously develop professional knowledge and skills by on-the-job learning, attending relevant network groups, meetings, and conferences.
  • Undertake any other duties, initiatives, and projects in line with the responsibilitiesof the role.

Person Specification


Essential
  • Experienced in coordinating correspondence through several email inboxes simultaneously.
  • Experience in supporting teams in administrative capacity.
  • Overall IT competency and knowledge of MicrosoftOffice, in particular Excel.
  • Experience in ensuring spreadsheets are maintained accurately and kept up-to-date.
Desirable
  • Experience with research and/or grant funding
  • Experience in organising events
