This role would suit an experienced Toolmaker or Tooling Engineer who enjoys problem-solving, working with complex tooling, and maintaining high standards of craftsmanship. It is ideal for someone comfortable balancing reactive repairs with planned maintenance, who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and values continuous learning and technical challenge.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out tooling repairs, servicing, diagnostics and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Produce, modify and test tooling, prototypes and ancillary components to support production schedules.
- Investigate breakdowns, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including tool histories, maintenance records and quality data.
- Support new tooling projects, trials and buyoffs through to production readiness.
