We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes ensuring their safety, and well-being. You will play a vital part in supporting residents maintain their independence while following personalised care plans. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Implement and follow care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring that all aspects of care are delivered effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any observations made during visits.
- Support residents in social activities and encourage participation in community events to enhance their quality of life.
- Uphold the highest standards of health and safety within the care environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care assistant role or similar position (6 months minimum)
- Understanding of care plans and the ability to implement them effectively.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for roles requiring travel between locations.
- A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating reliability and professionalism at all times.
