Management Accountant (9-Month FTC) - Knowsley - Hybrid WorkingJoin a growing SME with a friendly team and supportive environmentWe're a well-established SME based in Knowsley, looking to recruit a Management Accountant on a 9-month fixed term contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming team in a collaborative business environment, with the flexibility of hybrid working. You'll play a key role in ensuring the finance function runs smoothly, supporting business performance through accurate reporting, insight, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and complete monthly management accounts and dashboards
  • Own day-to-day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records
  • Lead on nominal ledger postings including accruals, prepayments, depreciation, currency conversions, and general journals
  • Track and manage fixed assets, including recording disposals and recognition of additions
  • Produce monthly budget vs actual variance analysis
  • Manage cashflow forecasting and day-to-day cash management
  • Complete VAT returns and oversee customs compliance for the UK entity
  • Partner with operational teams to support performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement
  • Work closely with the Head of Finance on both routine processes and ad hoc projects
