Reed Accountancy have began working with a business who are currently looking for an experienced accounts assistant to join their team. The right candidate will possess the skillset listed below and have a strong attention to detail as well as being able to work well within a team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to grow and build a long-term career in a supportive and professional environment.

The Role

  • Ensuring compliance and processing CIS returns.

  • Reconciling bank accounts and loan balances across various entities.

  • Managing purchase invoices along with supplier accounts and associated documentation.

  • Preparing payment runs for submission and approval.

  • Handling intercompany transactions and journal entries.

  • Supporting the preparation of management accounts and producing insightful reports.

  • Communicating with suppliers to address and resolve any discrepancies.

  • Processing company expenses efficiently.

  • Managing subcontractor timesheets and overseeing payroll operations.

  • Reconciling fuel card transactions for the company.

The Person

  • Demonstrated experience in a comparable role.

  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage).

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong time management abilities.

  • Ability to manage confidential information responsibly and with integrity.

  • Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.

  • AAT qualification or actively working towards this (preferred).
