Portfolio Payroll is collaborating with a well-established accountancy practice based in Liverpool to recruit a Bookkeeper on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounts and finance professional to join a respected well known organisation who is rewarding and supportive.

As a Senior Bookkeeper, reporting into the Practice Director, you will assist the Client Manager with their portfolio of limited company clients. You will be responsible for managing your own time, clients, and workload, including scheduling your own flexible diary

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Building strong, lasting relationships with a large clients.
  • Handling purchase and sales ledger tasks, raising and entering invoices in accounting software.
  • Bank reconciliation
  • VAT Return, budget, cash flow, receipts
  • Provide regular financial reports (weekly, monthly and yearly)

Desirable skills and attributes:

  • Previous experience in client accounts Practice)
  • Proficient using Excel, Xero, QuickBooks and Sage
  • Confident Communicator
  • Good eye for detail, and can work with precision
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively
