Description
- Overseeing the development of manufacturing processes.
- Conducting routine inspections and quality tests.
- Identifying and implementing process improvements.
- Ensuring products meet customer expectations and legal standards.
- Collaborating with the engineering team to brainstorm solutions to quality issues.
- Participating in the design and modification of product prototypes.
- Analysing quality control data and making recommendations for improvement.
- Reporting to management on quality standard issues.
Profile
A successful Quality Engineer should have:
- A degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in the industrial / manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills.
- Working knowledge of core quality tools including FMEA, APQP, SPC, MSA & PPAP
- An understanding of lean techniques and methodologies
- An ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Operation of a CMM / Faro arm
- Ability / experience with Polyworks
