Structural Technician
Location: Liverpool (Hybrid/Office-Based)
Salary: 40,000 - 45,000 + very strong benefits (including industry-leading annual leave)

The Role:
An independent Civil and Structural Engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Structural Technician with over 5 years of industry experience to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with a solid understanding of UK building structures, drawing standards, and BIM processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and clear structural drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Support engineers in delivering detailed design and technical drawing packages for structural projects.
• Coordinate with architects, M&E engineers, and contractors.
• Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Maintain drawing standards and adhere to QA procedures.
• Assist with BIM coordination and model management when required.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Structural Technician.
• Proficient in both AutoCAD and Revit - essential.
• Strong knowledge of structural detailing in steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
• Familiarity with UK building regulations and standards.
• Experience in producing general arrangement and detailed drawings for residential and commercial projects.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Desirable:

• Experience working within a BIM Level 2 environment.
• Knowledge of Civil 3D or other Autodesk tools is a bonus.
• HNC/HND in Civil or Structural Engineering or a relevant discipline.
