Are you an experienced ecologist looking to step into a senior role where your expertise will make a real impact? We're looking for a driven and knowledgeable Senior Ecologist to work on a range of projects across the North West as well as mentoring junior staff.



What you'll be doing:

  • Leading field surveys and assessments (e.g. Phase 1/UKHab, protected species, EcIA).

  • Managing and delivering high-quality technical reports and mitigation strategies.

  • Overseeing project timelines, budgets, and client communications.

  • Contributing to business development and proposal writing.

  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members to help them grow.



What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience in ecological consultancy or a related field.

  • Strong technical expertise in habitat and/or protected species surveys.

  • Excellent knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy.

  • A relevant degree and CIEEM membership (Associate or above).

  • Protected species licences (e.g. bats, GCN) highly desirable.

  • Skilled in data interpretation, GIS, and report writing.
