Job Title: Quality EngineerLocation: LiverpoolSalary: £42,000 - £45,000 (DOE) + annual bonusShifts: Mon - Fri (8am-5pm)Contract: PermanentOur client is a well-established business who specialise in the design and manufacture in precision tools and equipment for high profile clients within the Automotive, Oil & Gas and Construction industries.We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer who can supervise a small team, conduct process/audits and engage in new products to ensure product developments are exact to customer specifications.As the Quality Engineer, your duties will be:
  • Maintain and develop the Quality Management System in line with ISO9001 requirements
  • Engage in new product introduction activities
  • Ensure compliance to customer specifications
  • Manage and resolve customer, supplier, and internal non-conformances.
  • Conduct process and product audits periodically.
  • Identify and act upon opportunities for improvement
  • Generate process related documentation including work instructions, quality alerts, PFMEA's, control plans etc.
  • Support with production trials
  • Develop and report on COPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) within business.
  • Oversee customer and internally driven engineering changes.
  • Supervise and lead a team of 3 shift QC personnel.
As the Quality Engineer you will have the following skills and experiences:
  • Must have a solid working history within a similar role.
  • Excellent customer-facing experience.
  • Working knowledge of core quality tools including FMEA, APQP, SPC, MSA & PPAP
  • An ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Understanding of problem-solving tools
  • Operation of a CMM / Faro arm
  • Some supervisory experience
  • Ability / experience with Polyworks
  • Knowledge of IMDS
