Our client s seeking a dedicated Highway Inspector to join their team on a contract basis. This role, based within a Council, involves maintaining the city's highway infrastructure to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting both walked and driven inspections in accordance with the Highways Act 1980 and other relevant legislation
- Identifying and reporting highway defects
- Managing emergency situations effectively
- Collaborating with utility companies, contractors, and the public
- Ensuring all work meets the Council's stringent standards
Job Requirements:
- City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in highway safety inspections
- Valid UK driving licence
- Strong understanding of safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills
- Effective problem-solving abilities
