I'm currently working with a fantastic client who is investing heavily in data governance and quality, and they're looking to bring a Junior Data Quality & Governance Analyst on board to support their growing team. This is a permanent, hybrid opportunity with just 1 day a week in their Liverpool office - ideal for someone looking for that perfect balance between remote work and team collaboration.

The Role

This is a great entry point for someone with a passion for data and a solid foundation in governance or quality principles. You'll be working cross-functionally with data, systems, and business teams to implement data quality controls, help define governance frameworks, and support process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Help develop and roll out data quality policies, standards, and procedures
• Monitor data quality KPIs and support root cause analysis of issues
• Assist with the documentation and maintenance of governance materials (data dictionaries, glossaries, assessments)
• Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with governance framework
• Partner with teams across IT, BI, operations, and business systems
• Deliver training and support on governance tools and best practices
• Contribute to governance forums and workshops
• Identify and suggest automation or process enhancements
• Keep an eye on evolving data trends and tools that could add value
• Support the implementation of new governance technologies

Key Experience Needed:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
• Some exposure to data governance or data quality work (or related data roles)
• Strong analytical mindset and solid attention to detail
• Confident communicator, able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Awareness of data governance frameworks and good practices

The role comes with a salary of up to £38,000 per annum and a wealth of benefits.
