Broster Buchanan are partnered with a quickly growing UK business who are continuing to grow due to continued success and are looking to add a Data Engineer to their data team. They are using GCP so experience with GCP would be very advantageous, but isn't essential.This role is being offered with a salary of £50k - £60k and will be based onsite in their Liverpool office Monday - Thursday will Friday working remotely.Responsibilities:
  • Managing and delivering end to end BI reporting projects from initial brief/requirement gathering to data pipeline development (APIs/ETL/ELT/SQL) to visualisation
  • Undertaking ad hoc BI tasks based on business requirements and priorities
  • As part of the BI team you will be responsible for the day to day maintenance and enhancement of the data quality, security and performance of the Data Lake/Warehouse
  • Assisting your Data Analyst colleagues to generate impactful business insights and analysis
  • Support the Senior Data Engineer in managing the BI ticket system to ensure tasks are resolved in a timely and effective manner
Requirements:
  • Demonstrable data engineering experience with an enterprise data warehouse platform
  • Strong SQL, Python and API experience
  • Experience with visualization tools e.g Data Studio, Tableau, Power BI
  • Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders across the business and turn into actual deliverables
  • Excellent relationship building skills and ability to influence at various levels
  • Any experience with the Google Cloud Platform/Data Stack would be advantageous, including: BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage Pub/Sub, IAM Management, Looker and/or Data Studio
  • Understanding of data pipeline/orchestration tools e.g. dbt, dataform
  • Any experience with low-code/no-code data platforms e.g. Retool, Hex would be beneficial
