Year 3 Teaching Assistant opportunity in Liverpool

Your new companyHays are one of the largest education agencies in the Liverpool region. We work exclusively with over 65% schools in the area. Currently are working in partnership with schools in the L19 area who are recruiting for a KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant for September cover.

Your new roleA school in the South Liverpool area requires a Year 3 SEND Teaching Assistant.

Duties will include:

* Supporting a pupil in Year 3 with SEND needs on a 1:1 basis

* The majority of your time will be spent working on a one to one basis

* Support the class teacher in the classroom, prepare resources and teaching materials and ensure that the children in the class have access to the curriculum

* Work closely with the classroom teacher to report on pupil progress

What you'll need to succeed

* Have at least six months experience working with children in an education setting, particularly with the KS2 age range

* Excellent communication skills

* Sound knowledge of KS2 Curriculum

* Managing challenging behaviour is essential for this role
