Sports Teaching Assistant

We require a Sports Teaching Assistant to work with children with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities. Your role will be taking small groups of children and leading sports sessions with children who struggle to fulfil their classroom lesson times. The right Sports Teaching Assistant will have a sporting background, sports related degree and/or coaching experience and/or badges.

The school we are recruiting specialise in children who have Moderate Learning Needs and ASD. The School knows what all of their pupils can achieve, if they are able to experience a curriculum, learning environment and support, which meets their individual needs. 

This role will be working 5 days per week, 8:30-15:30 and will go perm after 16 working weeks. The rates are £89 - 100 per day depending on qualifications and experience.

You will support the whole school by helping children regulate their emotions and challenging behaviour through sports interventions. Helping children understand their emotions and developing their social and emotional mental health issues through effective communication and activities.
