  • Supervise and coordinate electrical teams working on renewable installations (air source heat pumps, solar PV, and associated systems).
  • Carry out desktop surveys on electrical installations to ensure high quality & compliance standards
  • Plan and manage the electrical aspects of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring compliance with project timelines and budgets.
  • Carry out site surveys, assess electrical requirements, and liaise with design and installation teams.
  • Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant regulations, standards (e.g., BS7671), and health & safety requirements.
  • Conduct quality checks and testing of installed systems (including commissioning of solar PV and heat pump systems).
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including electrical certificates, schematics, and inspection reports.
  • Act as the main point of contact for electrical matters both internally and with clients and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate DNO applications and liaise with the grid/network operators when necessary.

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
  • Proven experience in supervising or coordinating electrical work, ideally in the renewables sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of solar PV, electrical heating systems, and grid connection requirements.
  • ECS Gold Card or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices and risk assessments.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Inspection & Testing qualification (e.g., 2391 or 2394/5).
  • Experience with battery storage systems or EV chargers.
  • Familiarity with MCS and PAS2030 standards.
  • SMSTS/SSSTS or similar site supervision qualification.
