A skilled Fire & SecurityEngineer is required to inspect, maintain, and install a wide range of security and life safety systems, including intruder alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, and access control systems. This role involves managing your own workload, diagnosing and resolving faults, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest industry standards.

Excellent customer service is essential, as you will be providing expert guidance and maintaining a professional and approachable manner at all times. The role also includes participation in a standby and call-out rota to ensure rapid response to urgent service requests. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, contributing directly to system performance and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and install intruder alarms, fire alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.

  • Manage workload effectively, prioritising tasks to meet service and installation deadlines.

  • Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and replace components to maintain reliable system operation.

  • Complete all relevant documentation accurately and promptly in line with industry regulations and internal procedures.

  • Maintain a well-stocked service vehicle to ensure efficient working on-site.

  • Deliver excellent customer service, providing expert advice and maintaining a professional demeanour.

  • Participate in the standby and call-out rota, responding promptly to urgent service needs.

  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in the electrical or security industry.

  • Full, valid UK driving licence.

  • Proven experience within a service engineering environment, ideally involving security systems.

  • Strong experience with access control and IP CCTV systems.
