We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations (ER) Consultant to join a leading financial services organisation on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is a fast-paced and varied role requiring both strategic ER expertise and hands-on operational delivery across a range of complex cases and people-related projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on complex ER matters including disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance, and absence cases.
- Provide expert advice on TUPE, mergers & acquisitions, organisational change, and restructures from an ER perspective.
- Support and deliver ER workstreams across wider HR projects, ensuring alignment with business strategy and employment legislation.
- Partner with senior leaders and HR colleagues to manage risk, resolve issues, and promote best practice in people management.
- Prepare high-quality documentation, case summaries, reports, and recommendations.
- Identify ER trends, risks, and opportunities, offering proactive solutions to improve processes and employee outcomes.
About You:
- Strong experience in an ER-focused role, ideally within financial services or another regulated industry.
- Proven background managing complex ER cases and providing expert guidance at pace.
- Solid understanding of TUPE, M&A activity, organisational change, and employment law.
- Able to operate both strategically and operationally, with excellent judgement and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Proactive, resilient, and able to work independently in a fast-moving environment.
