Job Purpose

  • Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring compliance and service excellence at every step
  • Oversee the provision of quality tax advisory and compliance services, maximising fee income for the firm
  • Preparation and reviewing of corporate tax computations
  • Work closely with Partners and Directors to provide support on corporate tax advisory projects
  • Attend client meetings, representing the firm by pitching and presenting information where required
  • Oversee billing and WIP management
  • Review work completed by junior team members, providing constructive feedback
  • Lead liaison with HMRC, handling queries effectively on behalf of clients
  • Build trusted client relationships, acting as their go-to advisor for information and support
  • Work closely across departments to obtain relevant information where required
  • Monitor the commercial aspects of portfolio management, ensuring deadlines and fee recovery targets are met
  • Keep up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team
  • Delegate work to junior staff, overseeing workflow to monitor team performance and identify training opportunities

The Successful Applicant

  • ACCA / ACA / CTA qualified or part-qualified
  • Qualified by experience also considered
  • A proven track record of the provision of corporate tax advisory and compliance work
  • Supervisory experience with good people management skills
  • Self-motivated, professional and eager to progress
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • Excellent IT skills including SAGE, Xero, QuickBooks and Microsoft Office
  • Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
  • Commercial business acumen
