The School and the Role

Vision for Education are recruiting on behalf of a supportive and forward-thinking secondary school in Bootle, L20, who are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Classroom Teacher to join their team. This full-time role is designed for individuals looking to take their first step into teaching, gaining hands-on classroom experience while receiving high-quality support and training.

You will play a key role in delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supporting students across a range of subjects. As part of the school community, you will benefit from excellent resources, ongoing training, and guidance from experienced staff.

This is an ongoing role with a start date of December 2025, and there is potential for the position to become permanent.

Role Responsibilities

  • Deliver and supervise pre-planned lessons across KS3 and KS4

  • Maintain a calm, positive, and productive classroom environment

  • Support students with accessing learning and staying engaged

  • Implement school behaviour policies and support individual needs

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and senior leaders

Requirements

  • Experience in coaching, tutoring, youth work, mentoring, or childcare

  • A passion for education and supporting young people

  • Confidence in managing groups of students

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
