About the Role:

Sefton Council is seeking an experienced Minute Taker to join the Children's Social Care Business Support Team. This is a key administrative role supporting Strategy Meetings and other formal meetings, providing accurate and timely minutes, and general clerical support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend and minute Strategy and other formal meetings

  • Produce clear, concise, and accurate notes and reports

  • Support general administrative tasks including:

    • Typing formal correspondence

    • Filing, collating reports and records

    • Answering calls and covering reception

    • Handling sensitive and confidential information

  • Liaise with internal professionals and external organisations

  • Provide cover for colleagues across the team as required

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Proven clerical/administrative experience

  • Excellent minute-taking and word processing skills

  • Strong Microsoft Word proficiency

  • Ability to work to deadlines in a high-pressure environment

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Sensitivity in dealing with confidential and child protection matters

  • A team player with flexibility and reliability
