Conveyancing Fee Earner

My client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Conveyancing Fee Earner to join their reputable legal practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to manage a high-volume caseload and contribute to the continued success of the department.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a residential conveyancing caseload of up to 100 files, encompassing a broad range of property types and transactions.

Duties will include:

  • Handling freehold, leasehold, commonhold, and shared ownership matters
  • Managing re-mortgages, equity release, and transfer of equity transactions (as required)
  • Conducting title investigations, raising and responding to enquiries, ordering and reviewing searches
  • Drafting comprehensive reports and legal documentation
  • Applying for mortgage funds, preparing for and attending to completion
  • Undertaking post-completion formalities such as SDLT submissions and HMLR applications

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing all stages of the conveyancing transaction from initial instruction to post-completion
  • Responding to client and third-party correspondence in a timely and professional manner
  • Supervising and delegating appropriate tasks to a Paralegal and an Assistant
  • Drafting correspondence and reports
  • Preparing financial statements and completing documentation
  • Ensuring compliance with AML and KYC procedures through ID checks and initial searches
