Position Summary:
Reporting to the Fleet Manager, as part of a small technical team, you will be required to assist the Fleet Operator to undertake / supervise primarily in the corrective electrical and mechanical detailed fault finding, rectification and maintenance on a fleet of trains. This is Safety Critical environment and all tasks undertaken will need to ensure that the operator can achieve and maintain the reliability and availability targets set for the Fleet. The candidate will also assist the Operator when failures occur during service and resolve any issues on the network. Your responsibilities will include:
* Diagnostics, Fault Finding, repair and testing of rolling stock onboard systems
* Tracing back faults and working to repair (Electrical / Mechanical / Software)
* Maintenance of fleet - identifying ongoing issues and working to resolve pre-emptively
* Logging faults and repairs onto maintenance management systems
Person Profile:
* You will be a highly self-motivated individual, able to work under your own initiative Experience
* Experience of fault finding and fault rectification on Rolling Stock or other safety critical vehicles
* Experience with Laptop/tablets and diagnostic tools to determine faults
* Ability to work from maintenance manuals and schematics
Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 3 in an electrical or mechanical discipline is a requirement.
