Key Responsibilities

As a Paraplanner, you’ll be the engine behind the advice process. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Research & Analysis: Investigating pensions, investments, and tax-efficient strategies to identify the best solutions for clients.
  • Financial Planning: Crafting detailed cash flow models, retirement projections, and risk assessments to support adviser recommendations.
  • Report Drafting: Preparing clear, compliant suitability reports that align with client objectives and regulatory standards.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensuring all advice and documentation meets FCA requirements and internal audit standards.
  • Adviser Support: Acting as a trusted technical resource, answering complex queries, and refining strategies.

Who We’re Looking For

You’re a proactive paraplanner with:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial products, regulations, and planning software (e.g., CashCalc, Voyant, or similar).
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to interpret data, spot trends, and translate them into actionable recommendations.
  • Communication Skills: Confidence in simplifying complex concepts—both in writing and when liaising with advisers or clients.
  • Adaptability: Comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Qualifications: Level 4 Diploma (or equivalent), with ambition to progress toward Level 6.

Experience Required

  • Proven background in paraplanning, including cash flow modelling and suitability report writing.
  • Hands-on experience researching investments, pensions, and tax-efficient structures.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (FCA, AML) and financial planning software.
