This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of safety initiatives across a number of large facilities, while enjoying support with further development with your Health and Safety qualifications and skills.


Responsibilities of the Environment, Health, Safety and Quality Advisor will include:

  • Support and develop Health and Safety initiatives across a number of port terminals dealing with high-risk materials and advising on legal compliance and technical risk.
  • Help shape and maintain ISO management systems 9001, 14001 and 45001 across several operational areas.
  • Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders including senior management, operational staff and external regulators, to embed a positive safety culture.
  • Produce detailed, literate and technically sound reports to support compliance and audits.

The successful Environment, Health, Safety and Quality Advisor will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a similar high-risk, heavy industry.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum, ideally working towards Level 5 qualification or higher.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven experience engaging colleagues and a wide range of stakeholders, both in written and spoken English.
  • Comfortable navigating technical safety risks, such as manual handling, large moving equipment and hazardous materials.
  • Experience with ISO 45001, 9001 and 14001 is a desirable.
