Job Title - Design and Technology Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment is working on behalf of an SEN School searching Part-Time Design and Technology Teacher to join from September 2025.

About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and engage students with additional learning needs through hands-on, practical DT lessons. You will work collaboratively with a team of experienced SEN professionals to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum tailored to meet individual needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging DT lessons suited to a range of abilities and learning styles

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

  • Use adaptive teaching techniques to support pupils with diverse SEN profiles (including ASD, MLD, and SEMH)

  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and wider school staff to ensure holistic student development

  • Assess progress and maintain accurate records in line with school policy

We Are Looking For:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

  • Experience teaching Design & Technology, ideally within an SEN or inclusive setting

  • Patience, creativity, and a flexible approach to teaching

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • A genuine commitment to supporting the development of young people with special educational needs
