We are seeking an Early Years Teaching Assistant to support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a Liverpool primary school. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support that promotes each child's development, wellbeing, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support for children with SEN
Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging, play-based learning activities
Support children's social, emotional, and communication development
Help implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
Monitor and record progress, contributing to assessments and reviews
Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals
Support with personal care and mobility needs where required

Person Specification:
Experience working with children in early years, ideally with SEN
Understanding of EYFS and child development
Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Early Years, SEN training)
Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
