We are recruiting Teachers for a large and highly successful special school educating over 70 students aged 11-16 in South Liverpool, who, due to their Social & Emotional Mental Health and associated learning differences, require significant specialist teachers to encourage them to succeed academically and achieve their full potential. 

Teacher Details 

Full Time, Term Time 

Teacher Rate: £150 - £200 per day

Teacher Working hours: 8:30am-3:30pm 195 days a year as per school’s term dates 

Contract: Temp to Permanent

The main responsibilities for the post are to: 

  • Support students with their socio-emotional engagement with learning and promote  independence in a safe environment. 

  • Work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for  each student. 

  • Promote the inclusion of all students, so that all have equal opportunities to feel included  and to contribute to school life. 

  • Create a supportive and relaxed working environment that makes students feel happy and secure. 

  • Implement the positive behaviour approaches set out by the school, including Restorative  Practice and Zones of Regulation.

A good understanding of behaviour as communication, attachment theory, SEMH needs in the  classroom, and theory underlying nurture provision are ideal for any professional working in our  school.
