Our client, a leading company in the manufacturing sector, is currently seeking a Workshop Fitter to join their Branch in Liverpool.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out maintenance and repairs industrial pumps as directed by the Manager.
- Adhere to manufacturers' procedures and comply with health and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with the supervisor and colleagues regarding job requirements, costs, and downtime.
- Inspect equipment for damages and notify the Branch Manager with detailed reports.
- Suggest modifications and improvements to machinery or processes.
- Ensure all administration and paperwork are accurately completed and submitted on time.
- NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with diesel engines and industrial pumps is advantageous.
- Strong diagnostic skills to locate and fix faults efficiently.
- Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and standard hand and power tools.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to grow with the role and undertake further training.
