Job Title: Disrepair / Housing Management SolicitorPQE: NQ – 3 Years PQELocation: Liverpool (with hybrid working available)Hours: Full-time or part-time (Monday – Friday, flexible) An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a passionate and ambitious Disrepair / Housing Management Solicitor to join a top-tier law firm in Liverpool, renowned for its commitment to social justice and client care. This is a chance to become part of a leading Social Housing & Regeneration team that is highly respected for its specialist expertise and strong client base of Registered Providers of Social Housing. The role offers real career progression and the chance to work alongside some of the region’s most accomplished housing lawyers. Key Responsibilities:
  • Represent landlords in defending pre-action and litigated housing disrepair claims
  • Deliver expert advice on housing condition issues and housing management matters
  • Act on behalf of landlords in anti-social behaviour cases and breach of tenancy injunctions
  • Handle ombudsman complaints and provide updates on legislative changes
  • Conduct County Court advocacy across a variety of hearings
  • Build strong client relationships and ensure top-level client service is maintained
  • Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a collaborative team environment
  • Drive business development initiatives and support the continued growth of the team
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Experience in housing disrepair and a strong understanding of social housing law
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide clear, practical legal advice
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach with commercial awareness
  • Solid knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and strong advocacy skills
  • A collaborative mindset and passion for delivering outstanding client outcomes
  • Experience working with or on behalf of Registered Providers of Social Housing
