Your new companyOur client is a reputable insurance law firm who are currently recruiting a Junior Advocate Solicitor/Barrister to join their North West team. This role is open to personal injury solicitors looking to pursue a career in advocacy. There is the potential for the firm to fund your Civil Higher Rights of Audience following a successful probationary period.Your new roleThis Junior Advocate Solicitor/Barrister position will see you undertake advocacy, drafting and advisory work initially under the supervision of more senior team members. Files will include pleadings, small and fast track claims, interlocutory hearings, CCMCs, sanctions and recoveries. You will assist senior team members on more complex cases and will assist in advocacy/litigation training for fee earners. You will be required to attend county courts across the North West and will be given 1 weeks notice prior to your court requirements.What you'll need to succeedYou must be a qualified solicitor or called barrister with a keen interest in advocacy. Previous advocacy experience is beneficial. Solicitors with strong litigation experience in EL/PL, RTA, fraud and/or professional negligence are encouraged to apply as this is a retrain opportunity. Civil Higher Rights is beneficial.
