Social Housing Governance Solicitor  Salary: £32,000 - £45,000 Hybrid Working I’m working with my client on an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Social Housing Governance Solicitor to join their nationally recognised Social Housing & Regeneration team. This is a standout role for someone with 5+ years’ PQE, looking for high-quality, meaningful work within a flexible, values-led environment.The role is open to candidates across all office locations, with hybrid working and flexibility around full or part-time hours to support a strong work-life balance. In this role, you’ll provide specialist legal advice to Registered Providers of Social Housing, with a focus on governance and charity law. You’ll advise on regulatory standards, policy, and procedure, as well as support clients with mergers, compliance with the Charities Act, FCA and Companies House requirements, and applications to the Charity Commission. Key responsibilities include:
  • Advising on RSH standards and compliance
  • Governance duties for both exempt and registered charities
  • Charity law and regulatory requirements relating to land disposals
  • Supporting social housing providers through mergers and structural changes
  • Providing training and advice on board member, director, and trustee responsibilities
  • Mentoring junior team members and contributing to business development
  • Maintaining excellent client care and managing caseloads in line with internal standards
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
  • Solid experience in social housing and governance/charity law
  • Strong communication skills and a commercial, solutions-focused approach
  • The ability to explain complex legal matters clearly and practically
  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
