About the Role
We are delighted to be working with a highly regarded, forward-thinking law firm based in the heart of Liverpool, currently seeking a professional and experienced Legal Secretary / Personal Assistant to join their busy Residential Conveyancing department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with strong audio typing and dictation skills, excellent knowledge of conveyancing processes, and a proactive, team-oriented approach. Key Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated secretarial and PA support to one or more conveyancing fee earners/solicitors.
- Typing of legal documents and correspondence via audio dictation (BigHand or similar software).
- Preparing and amending contracts, Land Registry forms, completion statements, and other conveyancing documentation.
- Opening and closing files, both physically and electronically, in line with compliance procedures.
- Diary management, arranging appointments, and liaising with clients, estate agents, and other third parties.
- Handling incoming calls and emails, taking detailed messages and following up on queries.
- Assisting with post-completion procedures including SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications.
- Filing, scanning, photocopying, and other general administrative duties.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Legal Secretary or PA role within a Residential Conveyancing department.
- Strong audio typing and digital dictation skills are essential.
- A good understanding of the conveyancing process from instruction to post-completion.
- Exceptional organisational and time management skills.
- Friendly, professional manner and a strong team player.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Confident in using Microsoft Office and case management systems (experience with Leap, Proclaim or similar is advantageous).
