Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Category Manager to join a Public Sector organisation in Liverpool on a permanent basis. The role is hybrid and you would be required to manage projects within Construction and Estates and Facilities.

The Role:

  • Lead on strategic procurement projects
  • Prepare tender documentation and manage full processes above threshold
  • Lead/support procurement strategy delivery within assigned category areas
  • Deliver service improvement
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Carry out bench marking activities and market analysis
  • Achieve cashable savings and added value opportunities
  • Negotiate with suppliers
  • Advise on procurement process and look to improve procedures where possible

The Person:

  • Previous experience within the Public Sector
  • PCR2015 / PA2023 knowledge
  • Category knowledge in Construction or Estates and Facilities
  • MCIPS or working towards desirable
