Role: Category Manager
Rate: £45,000 - £55,000
Location: Liverpool
Castlefield Recruitment are currently recruiting a Category Manager to join a Public Sector organisation in Liverpool on a permanent basis. The role is hybrid and you would be required to manage projects within Construction and Estates and Facilities.
The Role:
- Lead on strategic procurement projects
- Prepare tender documentation and manage full processes above threshold
- Lead/support procurement strategy delivery within assigned category areas
- Deliver service improvement
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Carry out bench marking activities and market analysis
- Achieve cashable savings and added value opportunities
- Negotiate with suppliers
- Advise on procurement process and look to improve procedures where possible
The Person:
- Previous experience within the Public Sector
- PCR2015 / PA2023 knowledge
- Category knowledge in Construction or Estates and Facilities
- MCIPS or working towards desirable
