Procurement Manager - Liverpool - £50-55,000
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join an iconic and reputable organisation based in Liverpool who are looking for a new Procurement Manager. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a market leader at a time of growth.
In this role, you will take the lead in crafting and implementing strategic plans for sourcing and purchasing within designated categories. Your objective will be to uncover cost-saving opportunities while enhancing the performance of suppliers. You will also manage a comprehensive database of contracts and oversee the pipeline of procurement activities. Your efforts will ensure that the organisation can secure top-notch goods and services that meet quality standards and support the strategic goals.
This position involves managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Category Strategy Development: ensure that you develop and implement new strategies for the categories in your ownership
- Contract Negotiation
- Perform Market Analysis: Looking at trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Identify and mitigate procurement and supplier-related risks.
- Contract Database Management
- Work closely with Stakeholders to support business objectives.
- Drive initiatives to save costs and manage budgets effectively.
- Continuously look at and evaluate, and manage suppliers for performance and cost-effectiveness.
The Successful Candidate:
- To succeed in this role, you should have significant experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or category management, particularly in digital and technology procurement. A solid understanding of procurement processes, market trends, and industry standards is essential.
- MCIPS qualification or working towards or equivalent is preferred.
- You will have strong negotiation and contract management skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
