Engineering Manager- Terminal & AGL Systems
Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE

About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to take charge of our Terminal Engineering and Aeronautical Ground Lighting (AGL) teams. This is a pivotal role ensuring that all maintenance activity is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest operational standards. You'll lead a skilled technical workforce, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.
What You'll Do
- Lead & Develop Teams: Manage and motivate Engineering teams to deliver planned, preventative, and corrective maintenance. Support staff development through regular performance reviews, training, and competency assessments.
- Operational Leadership: Act as the technical authority for engineering systems and facilities, providing expert advice and ensuring reliability of critical systems including communications and power supply infrastructure.
- Asset & Contract Management: Oversee asset performance, lifecycle management, and contractor performance to ensure cost-effective, compliant delivery against KPIs and SLAs.
- Project Support: Lead and support CAPEX engineering projects, ensuring systems are designed for operational resilience and long-term efficiency.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and health & safety obligations, embedding safe systems of work across all activities.
- Financial Oversight: Manage OPEX budgets, monitor spend and overtime, and drive cost efficiencies wherever possible.
- Innovation & Sustainability: Champion innovation and collaborate with environmental teams to support sustainability initiatives including energy reduction and decarbonisation.
About You
- Proven leadership experience in an engineering or airport maintenance environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, or AGL systems, with the ability to act as a technical authority.
- Demonstrable experience managing budgets, assets, and contractor performance.
- Excellent communication skills, with a proactive and safety-first mindset.
