Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer with Body-in-White (BIW) experience to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating BIW projects and production issues, ensuring that deliverables meet technical specifications, timelines, and budget requirements. You’ll collaborate closely with the customer, design, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to deliver high-quality solutions in alignment with vehicle development goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage BIW engineering projects across various vehicle platforms.
  • Coordinate between customer and Engineering to ensure seamless execution of BIW issues.
  • Interface with suppliers for tooling, feasibility, and part development activities.
  • Monitor and report project milestones, costs, and technical risks; proactively manage issues.
  • Support prototype builds, validation testing, and launch activities at manufacturing sites.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and internal engineering guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in BIW engineering or structural vehicle body design.
  • Solid understanding of automotive body structures, joining techniques (spot welding, laser welding, adhesives), and materials (steel, aluminum, mixed-materials).
  • Experience with product development processes (APQP, PPAP, GD&T, DFMEA).
  • Strong Engineering Background, good project and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with EV platforms or lightweight body structures.
  • Familiarity with CAE tools and simulation results interpretation.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams.
