Your new roleAs a Mechanical Shift Technician, working a 3-on-3-off-shift pattern, you'll be part of a skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of heavy mechanical equipment across a busy operational environment. Working on a rolling shift pattern, your duties will include:

  • Performing planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems such as conveyors, hydraulics, and rotating machinery.
  • Diagnosing faults and implementing effective repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Supporting project work and ensuring all tasks meet health, safety, and quality standards.

What you'll need to succeed

  • ONC/HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with heavy plant and machinery in an industrial setting.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with maintenance systems (e.g., SAP) and safety procedures.
  • Full UK driving licence.
